As is sometimes the case proofs of this period are of nice quality, often with a clear Cameo contrast, but just on one side of the coin. This is just such a coin with the obverse head of Lincoln being fully frosty contrasting nicely with the mirrored fields. But the reverse has no such contrast thus NGC usually Star designates the coin as having superior eye appeal for the grade. It's always neat to see a Cameo coin from the 1950's nice and clean with no milk spots as often is the case. Certainly a top notch example for this year.
